This is possibly why Health Net has now and since 2015 denied justified claims and not paid the correct amounts to the legitimate recovery centers. However, punishing all the recovery centers as they did, and so abruptly was not and is not the answer. If they needed to “clean” up the bad ones there is a less devastating way to do it. If the commissioner did his job, he would regulate, yes what word is that? Its REGULATE (definition is a : to govern or direct according to rule
b (1) : to bring under the control of law or constituted authority (2) : to make regulations for or concerning regulate the industries of a country). It is my believe that is the job description of the Department of Insurance commissioner.
It is my belief that because of their abrupt action and their desire to sell their company the endangered human lives in treatment and lost lives. I tried to battle Health Net and lost. I also lost my son. I went to the CDI for help and was not given any. I was given constantly the same run around and I was given by Health Net. Most days I cant even breath, let alone read and keep up on this ongoing issue, or have the strength to take a stand and try to act in some way to fight this battle. Today was a better day and I am writing this. Who knows if tomorrow I will again be paralyzed with grief over the loss of my beautiful boy. What I do know is that there are still hundreds of humans suffering and the health insurers, the pharmaceutical companies have created this mess and need to spend their endless amount of profits to clean it up. Not back out now and have Mental Health benefits removed from coverage. What I do know that the citizens that suffer from this disease are caught in the middle of the battle between the Recovery Centers and the insurers, with no assistance and no control over their tug of war. They and their families advocating on their behalf are the true victims, not the insurer being presented with fraudulent claims and not the recovery centers that are not getting paid. The insured, the patient has no control over what and how claims are submitted, nor any control over how the insurer decides to pay or not pay. We are as citizens supposed to have the assistance of the CDI and Attorney General, I personally cant get any assistance from them. And in the end lives are lost.
